An elegant pair of early Victorian silver tongs with marks for London, 1846, Jacob Wintle, a spoon maker who was active from 1843 to 1848 on Roupel Road and Blackfriars Road. Handsomely made with thick gauge and well-struck hallmarks.
Price marked at $400 AUD.
Measurements: 44.7 grams weight. 14.5cm length.
Excellent antique condition with minor wear overall commensurate with age. Marks crisp and well-struck.
