Antique sterling silver George III serving divider spoon by Thomas Wilkes Barker

A beautiful and substantial sterling silver George III serving divider spoon, with marks for London, 1808, Thomas Wilkes Barker who was a highly skilled silversmith who was a member of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and was active from 1805 to 1823. Thick gauge and exquisite details, with crest beautifully engraved depicting an arm embowed, grasping a dagger with a serpent entwining the hilt. Research remains ongoing to the family whose crest this belonged to.
