Late Victorian sterling silver jewellery casket, Thomas Hayes

A beautiful late Victorian sterling silver jewellery casket with marks for Birmingham 1897, Thomas Hayes who was active from 1887 to 1902.  Beautifully made with classical scenes from Greek mythology depicting a Bacchanalian scene of dancers, musicians and a centaur with cherub.

Price marked at $1600 AUD.

Measurements: 14.5 by 11cm base measurements, 6cm height. 245.3 grams weight.

Good antique condition, one minor pinhole to top and wear overall commensurate with age. Marks crisp and well-struck.
