Antique Victorian sterling silver vesta case with marks for Birmingham, 1887, Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepard. The partnership was active form 1885 to 1929. London silversmiths, their premises were first at Barlett’s Passage and later on Fetter Lane. Engraved “BHAI // 4th May 1884) in script of the period to front.
