Antique Scottish silver George III silver tongs with marks for Edinburgh, 1817, John Urquhart. The latter was active from 1813 to 1822 and was noted for the quality of his flatware.
Monogrammed initials A.L. of the period to bow of tongs, and elegant shell-form bowls.
Price marked at $550 AUD.
Measurements: 14.7cm length. 51grams.
Excellent condition with minor wear overall commensurate with age. Marks crisp and well-struck.
