Antique Gouda Dutch Art Deco Pottery PZH Vase, Assan Pattern c. 1927

This substantial and lovely Gouda Art Deco vase in the Assan pattern was produced circa 1927 by one of the largest if not the largest and most significant producer in the region, PZH; otherwise known as Plateelfabriek Zuid Holland. 

This Assan pattern is painted in the distinctive Gouda style with earthy colours and stylised floral patterns. Gouda Dutch Art pottery is highly recognisable for its blending of Jungendstil and Art Deco aesthetics in their pieces, and this piece by PZH is no exception.

Measurements: 38cm high, 19 cm approx. dia. at widest part of base. Year mark for 1927, “Tiny House” backstamp of PZH to base. Design name and pattern number to base.

Excellent vintage near antique condition with minor wear to base commensurate with age.
