He had experience at one of the great modern glassworks Vasart Glass and continued as manager when that company became Strathearn Glass. He left Strathearn in 1968 to form a new glassworks which would only make high-quality paperweights.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThis lovely vintage art glass paperweight has the Perthshire signature cane in the base consisting of a P. Drysdale's ambition was to make the highest quality of paperweights to rival the best 19th century French paperweights.
