Founded in Oslo by David Andersen in 1876, the firm enjoyed early success due to Andersen’s excellent craftsmanship, having two retail locations in Oslo by 1892. His son Arthur would succeed him in 1901 and his exquisite enamelled designs were a roaring success, becoming the firm’s design signature. The firm remains active today as a a family business.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe elegant green and white guilloche enamel on these shakers’ lids are exquisitely done with engine-turned details and are marked and tested as sterling silver; the bodies of both shakers are made from cut glass.
