Large vintage possibly antique Ethiopian Coptic Cross with custom stand

Beautiful large vintage possibly antique Ethiopian Coptic Cross with later custom stand. These large ornate crosses were traditionally borne by priests in religious processions.
The Ethiopian Coptic cross is uniquely shaped, featuring three arms extending from a central point. The top arm represents the head of Jesus, the left arm symbolizes the arm of Jesus on the cross, and the right arm represents the arm of the repentant thief who was crucified alongside Jesus.
This particular cross with its interwoven “Solomonic” pattern is intricately wrought in brass, full of symbolism and meaning. A remarkable and beautiful piece.
